Accident Anniversary

Walking stick used during my recovery phase from femur bone surgery
Walking stick

Today marks one year since the accident that led to my severe injuries, including two fractures. Surviving the incident has reinforced my belief that I am indeed lucky and blessed.

The recovery process has been long, and I have yet to return to my usual fitness routine, which included brisk walks, cycling, and cardio workouts. I miss my exercise routine deeply.

During my recovery, a walking stick and a walker were my constant companions. Although I rarely use them now, they remain visible from where I sleep, reminding me of the journey I’ve been through.

Spending 24 hours a day in bed for 40 days was a period I never imagined enduring. However, good times eventually came, and slowly but surely, I am back on my feet. Although there have been hiccups in my recovery, I am grateful to be alive.
