Six Hats Thinking for Better Decisions

Writer's picture: Jaspal KahlonJaspal Kahlon

Six hat thinking techniques, written by Dr. Edward, is a simple thinking technique defining six different and distinct thinking approaches.

My experience in using the technique is overwhelming. I could curb my emotional instincts and remain contemplative about the situation/problem being faced by me.

Six hats, in my opinion, can be useful for pre-teens and teens as well. My spouse, a child counselor, is planning to use it for students.

A quick summary of the Six Hat thinking techniques is represented by an example of a laid-off working professional.

Readers can watch my Youtube talk to learn about Six hats. A practical mind mapping tool that, when coupled with documenting the thoughts under each color hat, is meditative and healing.
