Photography

Photography appealed to me one key reason.

I prefer solo activities—long, quiet rides up hills rather than crowded team events. Likewise, I’m drawn to candid, unstaged street photography (provided I stay out of trouble!).

While Henri Cartier‑Bresson was a master of geometric patterns and “the decisive moment,” my focus isn’t on technical perfection—it’s about capturing a subtle message in everyday frames.

I look for that quiet, fleeting moment when form, light, and meaning align—echoing Cartier‑Bresson’s idea that “photography is the simultaneous recognition … of the significance of an event as well as … forms”
