Apple launching new models every year is best termed as “Planned Obsolescence” b. Iphone new models los 30% of its original MSRP in first year and 50% in second year. So in terms of pricing the model is just 20% of its original MSRP in third year while the shelf life of the product is still 5 years considering iOS support for atleast 5 years. c. The Company is able to very smartly operate both across premium and mid-price segments using a very limited SKUs unlike so many other players. This is what it takes to be a trillion dollar company
